ROSALYN BODENSTEINER, 76, of West Union, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in St. Lucas, with Rev. Nick Mark presiding. Burial is in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at St. Luke's Catholic Church and also Friday after 9 a.m., at the church. Rosalyn is survived by her husband, Eugene Bodensteiner, West Union; seven children: Steven (Valerie) Bodensteiner, Marble Rock, Cathy (Jim) Eickman, Mountain Home, Ariz., Jodi (Donnie) Kriener, Ridgeway, Thomas (Glenda) Bodensteiner, Decorah, James (Margo) Bodensteiner, New Hampton, John (Ann) Bodensteiner, Cedar Rapids, Dean Bodensteiner, La Crosse, Wis.; five sisters: Ruth Langreck, Cresco, Kay (Stanley) Humpal, Decorah; Elsie Timp, Calmar, Joyce (Richard) Shindelar, Calmar and Marcie (Larry) Havel, Osage; four brothers: Irvin (Marion) Heying, Sumner, Cleo (Emily) Heying, Luana, Richard (Linda) Heying, Ossian and Donald (Carolyn) Heying, Calmar; one sister-in-law, Elaine Heying, Calmar; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Agnes (Bohr) Heying; two brothers, Hugo (Lucille) Heying and Larry Heying; two brothers-in-law, Ray Langreck and Donald Timp; daughter, Carol Ann Bodensteiner (4 years old); grandson, Terrence Eli Bodensteiner (infancy).
