MARILYN BOLSON, 82, of Decorah, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Aase Haugen Nursing Home, in Decorah. Funeral services are at 11 a.m., Monday, April 15, at the First Lutheran Church, 604 West Broadway St. Decorah, with Rev. Melissa Bills presiding. Burial is in the Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Schluter - Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue in Decorah, and also after 10 a.m. at the church Monday morning. Marilyn is survived by her three children: Mark (Marion K.) Bolson, Thornton, Colo.; Kristi (Randy) Brooks, Mason City; and Kathi Bolson, Decorah; two grandchildren, Melissa (Paul) Nielsen, and their children, Brooke, Austin and Mollie Nielsen; Nathan Brooks, and his children, Brandon, Jenna and Danika; two aunts, Jeananne Vikre and Eunice Anderson, both of Decorah; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, William Nesseth, in July 1941; her step-father, Emmet Volding, in Sept. 1975; her mother, Cora Volding, in Oct. 2003; two brothers, Bill Nesseth in Aug. 2003 and Carroll Nesseth in Jan. 2009; her husband, Ray Bolson, March 16, 2004; her daughter, Kare Bolson, in Jan. 1992.
