Kellie Ann Sharp, 16, of Decorah, died Friday Aug. 23, 2013, from injuries she received in a fall at Palisades Park in Decorah. Services were at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, Aug. 31, at Decorah Lutheran Church, Decorah, with Rev. David Sorenson and Rev. Bryan Robertson officiating. Organist was Kathy Murray. Accompanist was Dean Beckman. Soloists were Matthew Cody, Karen Foster, Adrianne Gerst and Jason Rausch. Hymns were "How Great Thou Art," "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "In the Garden." Special Music: "For Good" (Jason Rausch, Adrianne Gerst); "The Lord's Prayer" and "Amazing Grace" (Karen Foster). Honorary casketbearers were members of the Decorah High School Class of 2015. Interment was in Russell Cemetery, Decorah. Arrangements were handled by Schluter - Balik Funeral Home, Decorah.
Kellie Ann Sharp was born in Decorah Oct. 22, 1996. Kellie attended Decorah Community Schools and was currently a junior in high school. She played the clarinet in the band and enjoyed hanging out with her friends. She worked part-time at Wal-Mart in Decorah.
Kellie is survived by her mother, Heather Sharp (fiancé, Brian Steele) Lisbon; grandparents, John and JoAnn Sharp, Decorah; uncle, Andrew Sharp, Raleigh, N.C.; aunt, Lauren (fiancé, Brandon Williams) Sharp, Cedar Rapids; great-aunts: Caryl Sharp, Spring Valley, Minn.; LaVonne Sharp, Decorah; Phyllis (Jim) Cutsforth, Ottumwa; Carol Hinton, Cedar Rapids; and Orvetta Aswegan, Decorah; great-uncle, Merlin Sharp, Fort Atkinson; along with numerous loving and caring cousins and all of her friends at Decorah High School.
Kellie was preceded in death her grandparents, Lloyd and Hazel Sharp and Henry and Adeline Halweg.
