Bill Naley, 59, of Decorah, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at the Wellington Place Nursing Home in Decorah. Funeral services were at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 4,  at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, with Rev. David Sorenson presiding. Honorary pallbearers were his 11 nephews: Troy (Casie) Fadness, Travis Fadness, Seth Naley, Matthew, Andrew, and Adam DeHaan, Reza and Kamron Emami, Christopher, Michael, and Robert Naley. Burial is at Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah, in the Spring. Friends called from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials may be given in memory of Bill Naley to the Wellington Place Nursing Home, 2479 River Road, Decorah, IA, 52101.

Bill is survived by one brother: Steven (Eva) Naley, Copperas Cove, Texas; four sisters: Linnea (Dr. Ahmad) Emami, Fresno, Calif.; Lois Wiskus, Decorah, and friend, Albert Hageman, Ft Atkinson; Brenda Naley, of West Union, and friend, Michael Olson, Clermont; and Denise (Robert) DeHaan, Lansing, Kan.; 11 nephews: Troy (Casie) Fadness, Travis Fadness, Seth Naley, Matthew, Andrew and Adam DeHaan, Reza and Kamron Emami, Christopher, Michael and Robert Naley; one great-niece and great-nephew, Hannah and Maxwell Fadness; one uncle, Curtis Gjetley, Cresco; three aunts: Marcy Amundson, Jeanette Naley and Charlotte Naley, all of Decorah.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents -- Leland Naley on Sept. 17, 2011 and Edith (Gjetley) Naley on April 26, 2013; his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Anna Naley; his maternal grandparents, Will and Stena Gjetley; and several aunts and uncles; two cousins, Joan Rasmussen Whalen and Duane Naley.
