The Winneshiek County 4-H offered 16 scholarships to Winneshiek County 4-H/FFA members this year.

The recipients were announced during the 2013 Winneshiek County 4-H/FFA livestock auction at the Winneshiek county fair. Recipients submitted an application and were chosen to participate in an interview. Based on their character, academics and service to the community these young adults have been awarded a Winneshiek county 4-H/FFA scholarship to be used toward college expenses.

Members receiving 4-H/FFA scholarships include Brianna Carolan, Micayla Christopher, Jacob Hackman, Karla Hageman, Kelsey Hovden, Lucas Hunter, Karissa Knutson, Eleanor Lofte, Chandler Luzum, Tanner Mashek, Brittany Nelson, Jacob Ohloff, Brian O'Regan, Mariah Schmitt, Miranda Schnitzler and Dustin Smith.

They were each awarded a $250 scholarship, which is renewable after their first year of college. The total scholarship package is $500 over two years.
