Trygve Lien, a member of the South Winneshiek FFA, will host a field day Saturday, Sept. 13, from noon – 4 p.m.
Lien, an agronomy student, is conducting a project to observe how plants are affected by the elements of sunlight, moisture and air. His hope is to show the public results of improving yields and how plants can live through adverse conditions and what can be done to counter negative effects.
Local agronomists have been invited to discuss the results and answer questions concerning Trygve’s non-sponsored test plot.
The location is 1166 U.S. Hwy 52, Castalia.
For more information, contact Lien at 563-380-8206.
