Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) is celebrating the start of the fall semester at the Calmar campus with its annual Fall Fest Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5 - 8 p.m. 
Students, their families and the public are invited to attend the fun family event.
The evening’s events feature the inflatable rides Jurassic Survivor Obstacle Course, Screamer Slide, Toddler Zone, Slam Dunk, Radar Speed Check and Pit Stop. Other entertainment includes carnival games, balloon artists, a dunk tank, train rides and much more.
The Fall Fest dinner will include pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, bars and soft drinks by free-will donation. Cotton candy, kettle korn and Moo Mobile milkshakes will be available by ticket purchase.
The band Old Salt Union will provide a free concert earlier on Sept. 4 from Noon – 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center cafeteria and then from 6 - 7 p.m. at the patio area outside of the Student Center. The public is welcome to attend both performances.
Most activities during the event are free. Carnival games and inflatable rides will be available for 25 cents each. The activities and meal will be located in the center of campus with parking available nearby. NICC is hosting this event along with support from area businesses and organizations.
