A log house presentation will be part of the Laura Days celebration in Burr Oak this weekend.

The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park and Museum has received funding from Humanities Iowa, a private, non-profit state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, to host the program.

Michael Zahs will present "Building and Living in Log Houses" at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Park. A cultural resource for Iowans since 1971, Humanities Iowa offers many cultural and historical programs and grants to Iowa's communities.

The Museum's Laura Days celebration includes many activities for guests of all ages, including a parade, children's pioneer games, musical entertainment, food tent and more. For more information, contact the Museum at 563-735-5916.
