Five Decorah antique dealers are teaming up to offer a unique shopping experience during this year’s Nordic Fest.
For the first time, antique enthusiasts can tour Decorah to shop for antiques and collectibles in five different locations, including two shops and three homes.
Antique vendors will no longer be part of the annual Nordic Fest Arts and Craft Show.
“A few local dealers got together and just decided we would try something different this year,” said Frank Riha of Lower Level Antiques, located at 107 W. Water St. (Phone 563-387-6782)
Event Co-organizer Rita Friest said, “Every location is distinctive in the type of merchandise offered for sale.”

Something for everyone
Friest said Nordic Fest attendees seeking Scandinavian-related items will not be disappointed as dealers will offer wooden vessels and trunks, linens, textiles, books, figurines and jewelry, to name just a few. Other collectors will find both children’s and adult furniture, from primitive to elegant design. Pottery, stoneware, dishes, kitchen items, advertising, toys, prints, paintings, tools, quilts and silver will round out the selection.
The shops will be open Thursday – Saturday, July 24-26, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
