The Decorah High School Varsity Drumline is hosting and participating in the first annual Tri-State marching percussion clinic Monday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Decorah High School auditorium.

Drumlines from other surrounding high schools will perform for the audience and then receive a short clinic from adjudicators. The two clinicians are Barry Dvorak, the University of Northern Iowa drumline director and a Crestwood High School graduate and Chris Ward, assistant professor of percussion at Waldorf College and a DHS graduate.

The event is open to the public and there is no admission.

Members of this year's drumline include: snare drum - Jacob Kvale, Mitch Burggraf, T. J. Misseldine, Maria Mertzenich, Lennea Kephart and Micheal Foster; tenor drum - Reid Drenth, Jacob Hrdlicka and Matt Schissel; bass drum - Brian Willie, McKinley Eide, Drew Sullivan, Forde Nesteby and Andrew Sorenson; cymbals - Dominick Watson, Jonah Pankow and Annika Wahlberg; front line - Gara Lonning, Talia Raddatz and Gabe Varney.
