The Decorah Chorale will present its 14th Annual "Home For Christmas" Benefit Concert for Habitat For Humanity Sunday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church.
Special guest artists at this year's concert are Luther College pianists Du Huang and Xiao Hu. Principle accompanist and organist for the Chorale is Dietrich Jessen.
The concert selections were chosen from favorites sung in past years. They will include "Away In A Manger," "Still, Still, Still," "Shepherd's Chorus" from Amahl and the Night Visitors, "Wassail," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," Randall Stroope's "All My Heart This Night Rejoices," "Mary Did You Know?," "The First Noel," John Rutter's "Christmas Night," and "Glory To The King of Kings" by Gilbert Martin.
Soloists for the afternoon are Kari Iverson, Cathy Evelsizer, Alex Gisleson and Sarah Wilder. The Christmas story will be read from the Holy Scriptures by Pastor Bryan Robertson.
Admission to all Chorale concerts are complimentary, however a free-will offering will again be donated to the Winneshiek County Habitat For Humanity.
This is the final Christmas concert with the Chorale conducted by retiring founder and director John Bay.
