A “Food, Faith and Climate” workshop is Saturday, April 12, at First Lutheran Church, 604 West Broadway, in Decorah.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The workshop is from 10-11:30 a.m., with lunch and tour of Seed Savers Exchange to follow.

Iowa IPL’s Food, Faith, and Climate program provides education on how our food practices contribute to climate change and explores how our faith traditions call us to respond with practical solutions.

In this workshop participants will:
• Learn how our food system contributes to climate change;
• Reflect on what our faith traditions have to say about sustainable food systems;
• Look at your household’s food practices and create a plan to make more climate-friendly choices.

The cost for the event is $35, including lunch from the Oneota Community Food Cooperative.
