The Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors booth is packing up for the Iowa State Fair.

"For more than 15 years, the CVB has organized a tourism booth to promote all the amazing things Winneshiek County has to offer. With nearly one million visitors who enjoy the Varied Industries Building, it's a great spot to set up a 'mini visitor's center' to showcase our destination. Face it - people love our area!" said Brenda Luzum, WCCVB director.

This year the booth will feature a spin wheel game for fest-goers to play and win prizes. We have a number of giveaway items to offer, but are seeking more.

"If your business would like to gain some exposure at the fair and make somebody extra happy with a fun prize, then feel free to donate items to our prize grab bag," said Luzum.

Since we have thousands of brochures, banners and supplies for our 40+ volunteers who help out, smaller items like pens, magnets, notepads etc. are appreciated.

Anyone interested in donating should drop off items at Visitor's Center (507 W. Water Street) by Mon., Aug. 5 at noon.
