Travel discouraged due to blizzard conditions

The National Weather Service has issued the following statement:
Winds are gusting between 40 and 60 mph. This is causing Blizzard conditions, significant blowing and drifting snow. Roads in rural areas and ridgetop locations across southeast Minnesota, northeast Iowa, and far southwest Wisconsin are blowing shut.
Plows and tow trucks are being pulled off of the roads for the night in some locations. If you venture out and get stuck, you may be there for a while...
MNDOT and IADOT are both advising no unnecessary travel across southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa. No travel is advised in southwest Wisconsin either. Driving conditions are difficult/dangerous and are impossible in some locations. Road closures are occurring! AVOID TRAVEL if possible...
Arctic, life threatening cold moves in overnight, and persists through Tuesday. -30 to -50 F wind chills will be common, with the coldest conditions Tuesday morning.
