South Winn Lego League wins regional competition, heads to state

For the fourth time in five years, the South Winneshiek Middle School Lego League team is advancing to state competition.

The team, consisting of Kealan Boe, Tommy Conklin, Henry Castro, Austin Tieskotter, Madison Kriener, Mia French, Jackson Lukes, Christian Fischer, Carter Meyer and Andrew Wagner.
The team took top honors and a trophy at the regional competition Saturday for being the most well well rounded team at the competition (robot game, core values and the project). They received another trophy for the top score at the board for the robot game.
The team, led by Kristin Kriener, will advance to state competition at Iowa State University Saturday, Jan. 18.
5th year of the team being competitive, with South Winneshiek advancing to state 4 of the 5 years!!! Congrats and best of luck at the State Competition at ISU on January 18, 2014.
