The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce (DACC) is inviting the public to celebrate the season and the grand opening of the newly reconstructed Short Street with the Juletide Jubilee Thursday, Dec. 20.

The festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a ribbon cutting to officially open Short Street. The ribbon cutting will take place at the intersection of Sanford Street and Short Street. Following the ribbon cutting, luminaries will line Short Street from Sanford Street to the Highway 9 intersection.

The events continue throughout the evening, with holiday shopping specials and events at Short Street businesses. Kids of all ages are invited to visit Santa Claus at Culver's from 6-8 p.m., and carolers from New Minowa Players will be sharing sounds of the holiday season with Christmas caroling in the Latham Furniture Plaza.
