The Winneshiek County Recorder's office is open Saturday, Sept. 28, to process passports for people who can't make it to the office during the week.

The office, located in the Winneshiek County Courthouse, 201 W. Main St., will be open 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Entrance to the courthouse is through the west door off the parking lot.

Anyone wishing to obtain a passport should provide a birth certificate or expired passport, two separate checks and a driver's license.

If the driver's license is from another state, one additional form of identification is required, such as a college ID, a health card, or a charge card.

Passport photos will be taken for a fee of $10.
