No charges after Fayette County fatality

No charges were filed after a Decorah woman struck a pedestrian while she was driving on Highway 150 in Fayette Saturday at about 5:50 p.m.
Once deputies arrived they learned Clark Phelps, 72, of Fayette, was crossing the highway when he was struck by a vehicle operated by Trisha Kay Ryan, 32, of Decorah, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.
Phelps was transported to Palmer Hospital by Fayette Ambulance and later transported to the University of Iowa Hospital by Life Flight. Phelps died at the hospital Monday as result of his injuries. It was determined the driver of the vehicle was not at fault. The Fayette County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Fayette Police Department at the scene.
