A methamphetamine laboratory and 146 marijuana plants were seized during a Sunday, Oct. 7, search of a wooded area south of Decorah.

The Northeast Iowa Drug Task Force, with assistance of the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, conducted the eradication of a field of marijuana plants, which appeared to have been cultivated for drug use.

The Task Force reminds the public fall is the primary harvest time for marijuana plants and to report any suspected marijuana growing activity to local authorities.
