Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. will mark the debut concert for the 2013-14 Decorah High School vocal music department as they present their fall choral concert.

The concert will begin with the Ninth Grade Bass Clef Choir singing an arrangement of a tune by Handel and a humorous song "Foolish Questions."

The Ninth Grade Treble Clef Choir will sing a Chinese folk song "Mo Li Hua" and an arrangement of the bluegrass song "Bowling Green."

The Viking Chorus will sing a Native American song, a South African song, and a medley of American folksongs.

The Concert Choir will perform Handel's Coronation Anthem "Zadok the Priest," Rheinberger's "Abendlied," an arrangement of "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need" and a setting of the Slovak folk song "Kde Su Kravy Moje" (Where Are My Cows?).

Conductors for the concert are Jason Rausch and Dean Beckman, and pianist will be Mary Beth Bouska.

Instrumentalists joining Concert Choir will be Nicole Cody, Nori Hadley, and Kristen Flak on violin; oboist Janene Leeper; and flautist Suzanne Ernst.
