A 28E agreement with the E911 Board was unanimously approved by the Decorah City Council during its meeting last week.

"They approached the city about locating some equipment on the east water tower in the business park," City Manager Chad Bird told the Council, adding the E911 Board has already approved the agreement.

"It's a zero-dollar lease agreement. The equipment does have benefit for the city and will be used by the police and fire departments as it will give them better coverage through the county," said Bird.

"There is nothing else on that tower and there are no structural issues. That tower was designed and built to accommodate such apparatus."
