Decorah's Wayne and Betty Timmerman are the grand marshals of the 21st annual Castalia Tractor Days Parade, which will take place Sunday, June 9 at noon.
Saturday, June 8, features a Firemen's water fight at 1:30 p.m., sponsored by Castalia Fire Department. Registration is from noon to 1 p.m. For more information, contact Devin Humpal at 563-379-7801.
Sunday, June 9, begins with an ecumenical church service at 9 a.m. at the City Park under the tent. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Lineup for the parade begins at 11 a.m., with the parade beginning at noon. All entries are welcome, including tractors, floats, cars, horses, etc. This year's featured tractor is a 1958 Ford 961 Powermaster owned by Albert Matt.
Other activities include Andyland Amusements from 1 - 3:30 p.m.; music by Russ Guyer and Friends, 1 p.m.; raffle drawings at 1:45 and 3 p.m.; auction of pies and other items, 2 p.m.; and music by Russ Guyer and Friends, 2:30 p.m.
There will be a food stand sponsored by the Bloomfield 4-H Club and a soft-serve ice cream stand run by the South Winn Trapshooting Team.
