The Holistic Moms Network will host a free car seat safety check Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. - noon at Mary Christopher Park, located on East Water St., in Decorah.

Participants will receive information and assistance with child passenger safety issues provided by certified child passenger safety technicians.

"As children grow, how they sit in your car, truck or SUV should change," said event organizer Kelly Searcy.

The four steps of car seat orientation include rear facing, forward facing, booster seat and vehicle seat belt.

"We invite parents to stop by, learn and protect their children by making sure they right correctly at all times," said Searcy.
