Bluffs Inn residents charged for meth lab

Two Bluffs Inn residents were charged Friday night after a Decorah Police Department investigation of a methamphetamine lab.
At about 8:30 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at Bluffs Inn 1101 Highway 9 and two active labs were located.
Maegen Bakken, 24, and John Olson, 48, were arrested for manufacture of a controlled substance -- methamphetamine -- with "certain real property," a Class C felony, possession of drug precursor -- lithium -- with intent to manufacture, a Class D felony and possession of a drug precursor - anhydrous ammonia - with intent to manufacture, a Class D felony.
The Decorah Police Department was assisted by the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Decorah Fire Department, Winneshiek Medical Center, Winneshiek County Attorney's office and the Iowa State Patrol.
