First United Methodist Church to host Community Thanksgiving Meal
Volunteers sought to help with preparation, serving, clean up

First United Methodist Church, 302 West Broadway Street, Decorah will once again host the Community Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday, Nov. 28, at noon in the church's fellowship hall.
Turkey, dressing and a beverage will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring community spirit, willing hands and a covered dish to share. Transportation to and from the dinner also will be provided with advance registration by calling the church at 563-382-3835. Home deliveries for shut-ins may be called in to the church office between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 563-382-3835 beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5, through Wednesday, Nov. 27, at noon.
Volunteer assistance sought
Organizers of the Community Thanksgiving dinner are looking for volunteers to assist in the preparation and serving of this year's dinner.
Volunteers are needed to peel potatoes Wednesday, Nov. 27; set-up for the meal; assist with transportation of individuals to and from the meal; work the delivery/carry-out line; deliver carry-out meals; serve during the meal; clean up after the meal.
If you are able to assist in any of these areas, contact the church office at 563-382-3835. Monetary donations are also appreciated. All funds received will offset the cost of the meal.
