EIGHTY YEARS AGO: Four cartons of beer were stolen in a daring robbery from a beer truck in a nearby county the other night. The beer truck was traveling at a high speed of about 40 miles an hour when a touring car came up close. It is reported that a man crawled out along the fender of the car and leaped onto the rear of the truck. He then passed the four cartons of beer back to an accomplice, who sat on the radiator of the speeding car. The second man passed it off to a third man, who stood on the running board. A dangerous undertaking for these robbers indeed. Investigation continues.
