TOOL & DIE MAKER (1 st Shift) Experience as a Machinist with emphasis on Tool and Die operations a must. Overhauls, repairs and reassembles molds and dies to meet production standards and established tolerances. Ability to set up and operate all basic machine tools and use machinist’s tools. VAPOR DEGREASER OPERATOR Ability to load and unload parts for vapor degreasing and transport parts to and from the degreasing area. MACHINING B OPERATOR Ability to set up and operate a CNC machining center, CNC rod bender, vertical mill, quick tapper, and spot welder in accordance with tool set up instructions, engineering drawings and specifications. STAMPING A OPERATOR Ability to operate stamping presses and related equipment. Operates equipment activated automatically or manually in punching, counter-sinking, bending, cutting, etc., in the production of steel parts. ASSEMBLERS (2 nd & 3 rd Shifts) Ability to complete assembly operation on products. Manufacturing assembly experience preferred. Ability to interpret blue prints a plus. Instructional Technology Librarian
Luther College is seeking an Instructional Technology Librarian to join our Library and Information Services team and provide leadership for planning, implementation, management, evaluations and support of technology in the Luther College curriculum. The Instructional Technology Librarian will collect and manage research resources to support the academic mission of Luther College, participate in the teaching and learning of the institution through information literacy and research instruction initiatives, provide reference and research assistance programs and initiatives. A Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited program as well as demonstrated skill in current and emerging technologies is required. Preference given to those with an interest or expertise in one or more of the following: user experience; usability testing; media copyright; software licensing; Moodle learning management system; project leadership; or other relevant area of specialization, and experience working with library materials for instruction and outreach. Packing, Shipping & Gardens Support Representative
Summary: To assist with fast-paced packing/shipping department, and facilitate efficient production of seed house seed varieties. This is a full time position with benefits. Some amount of shift work may be expected during peak packing/ shipping season. Packing/Shipping responsibilities include but are not limited to: Seed packing, both manually and by operation of automated packet filling equipment; prepare orders for shipment; process shipments using integrated shipping software; assist with packing, picking, and shipping potato and transplant orders. Gardens Support responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support garden activities as needed – field preparation, planting, maintaining, harvesting, processing, includes use of gardening equipment, tractor experience a plus; support seasonal product activities as needed; learn proficiency in all seed processing equipment and techniques; accurate record keeping skills. Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail skills; basic computer and mechanical aptitude skills; team player; ability to be flexible as needs fluctuate; some aspects of the position will involve considerable physical activity including lifting and other motion related to general garden maintenance; willingness to work outside during hot, cold, or wet conditions as needed; absolutely no tobacco use permitted due to related plant diseases; prior garden experience and/or education in related field preferred.
