DONOR RECORDS COORDINATOR - Luther College seeks a full-time member of the support staff in the Development office to assist with fundraising efforts by creating giving reports from the database and assist with the preservation of donor records. The duties of the Donor Records Coordinator position include creating giving reports and mailing lists, along with assisting with gift entry and receipting. Additional duties include assisting with data entry of demographic information for the college’s constituents and providing proofreading support for alumni updates in class agent letters. Knowledge of Access and Excel computer programs, along with skills in data processing and proofreading are sought; successful candidates will have the ability to work extensively with  numbers, provide strong attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks. High school diploma and at least one year of post-high school education required. One or more years of data maintenance and reporting experience required. MANAGER, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS - Allamakee-Clayton Electric Cooperative is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Manager, Marketing and Communications. This is a management level position which reports to the Executive Vice President/General Manager. The position is responsible for developing and carrying out programs, policies and goals that effectively communicate the Cooperative’s mission and objectives and to also market the Cooperative’s services to all stakeholders including its member-owners, Board of Directors, employees and the general public.
RESPONSIBILITIES of the position include: Monthly publication of the Cooperative newsletter and mail inserts including feature writing, edit, layout and graphic design; Design, layout and publication of the Annual Report and leadership role in preparations for the Annual Meeting of Members; Preparation of news articles and press releases for regional publications; Publication and management of the Cooperative’s web site and social media presence; Publication of the semi-monthly employee newsletter; Publication of periodic regulatory notices as required by governmental agencies; Preparation of an annual budget including costs for advertising, marketing and other media initiatives; Coordination of communication efforts with staff employees including emergency situations.
OTHER: Supervision and management of staff and resources for the Cooperative’s medical, security and environmental monitoring business unit; Coordination of planning and information for the Cooperative’s youth education and scholarship programs; Development of effective marketing programs for the Cooperative’s broadband and satellite internet services.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should have a minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or other closely related curriculum and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Progressive job experience may substitute for part of the educational requirements. Work experience with an electric utility or closely related business is beneficial and will be considered.
