Counselor Position:

Luther College Counselling Services is currently accepting applications for a (.86 FTE) Counselor position. This college mental health professional provides the highest level of ethical psychological treatment for students and delivers a full range of services to student clients and to the campus community.  The counselor provides assessment, individual and group counseling; crisis intervention; referral to off-campus mental health resources; consultation; response to college-wide crisis, and outreach programming. This position requires the ability to function independently and effectively in responding to a wide variety of student mental health issues, including issues that are serious and involve significant risk.
One of the following degrees is required; Doctorate (PhD, EdD, or PsyD) in counseling or clinical psychology, MSW in clinical social work, or Master’s degree in counseling. Applicants should be currently licensed in Iowa as Psychologist (LP), Independent social worker (LISW) or master social worker (LMSW), or mental health counselor (LMHC), or licensure should be eligible within one year of hire. A minimum of 4 years full-time, postgraduate practice as a mental health professional working in a clinical setting with late adolescent and adult clients is required, along with the ability to occasionally work after hours and/or on a weekend for crisis intervention, response to college-wide crisis, or selected outreach activities. Preferred qualifications include significant postgraduate experience in a college or university counseling center, training in an APA accredited program plus an APA or APPIC accredited pre-doctoral internship for Psychologists, and a master’s degree in counseling from a CACREP accredited program for counselors.

Associate Director of Athletics Operations/Facility:
Luther College, a private, liberal arts institution, located in Decorah, Iowa seeks an Associate Director of Athletics. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and serves as a member of the athletics department administrative team. The Associate Director of Athletics will manage daily operations and planning in the Regents Center and outdoor practice and competition venues; as well as communicate and coordinate with the directors of Legends Fitness Center, athletic equipment room, and aquatic facility. He/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining the operational calendar for events and facility usage and game management for 19 NCAA Division III sport programs. This person will serve on various campus committees and is the primary liaison to campus facility management. The Associate Director of Athletics will work alongside the Director of Athletics in fundraising and budgeting for projected new construction, renovations, and ongoing maintenance of facilities and venues. The Associate Director of Athletics will be the advisor to the Student-Senate Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the annual athletic department NORSE awards.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred; at least three years of relevant experience in athletic administration and facilities at the collegiate level; Luther College, a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is committed to providing a positive and competitive athletic experience in the context of a Lutheran (ELCA) liberal arts college. Seed House Garden Crew Member
Seed Savers Exchange seeks two individuals from approximately July 1st through September, 2015 to support the needs of Field Staff with all seed house grow-out and trial production.  This is a 40 hour work week seasonal position.  Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Harvesting, processing, and packing garlic.  Setting up and maintaining fences, trellises, and pollination cages.  Maintaining plants, including watering, mulching, weeding, and staking.  Collecting, reporting, and entering field data in a timely manner.  Harvesting fruits, vegetables, grains and seeds.  Threshing, winnowing, and conditioning seeds.  Cleaning up fields at the end of the growing season by removing plant residue, fencing, trellises, and other equipment.  Maintaining an orderly equipment shed.  
Qualifications:  Applicant must be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, flexible team player.  Hands-on experiences with vegetable crop production, and organic agricultural practices are preferred.  Ability to perform field work in wide ranging weather conditions.  Ability to perform physical activity; lifting (up to 100 lbs. assisted), carrying (50 lbs.), bending frequently, climbing, pushing, and pulling.  Ability to operate roto-tillers, weed-whackers, and other small farm equipment.  Tractor experience a plus.  Applicants must have a valid driver's license.  Seed Savers Exchange is a tobacco-free workplace.
