Luther College to present wind, percussion ensemble concert Nov. 13

The Wind and Percussion Ensemble will present a fall concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus.
The Wind and Percussion Ensemble will perform Suite on Celtic Folk Songs by Tomohiro Tatebe, "Sea Songs" by Ralph Vaughan Williams, "Heaven's Light" By Steven Reineke, "Hounds of Spring" by Alfred Reed and "The Washington Post" by John Philip Sousa.
The Wind and Percussion Ensemble is a group of 50 select band students, determined by audition. The ensemble is conducted by Joan deAlbuquerque, director of bands and associate professor of music at Luther.
deAlbuquerque was appointed as director of bands at Luther in 2011. She conducts the Luther College Concert Band, Wind and Percussion Ensemble and teaches conducting.
