Stop by Vesterheim, the national Norwegian-American museum and heritage center, for more fun at "Hedgie's Pajama Party" and "Hedgie Tales."

On Friday, Nov. 22, there's a "Hedgie's Pajama Party" from 6:30-8 p.m. Put on your pajamas, grab your favorite stuffed animal and come for Jan Brett stories and a bedtime snack.

All ages are welcome and this program is free, sponsored by the 2012 Deck the Tables event.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, stop by from 10 a.m.-noon for "Hedgie Tales" and hear a story or two.

If you want to explore more of the museum, take some Hedgie Hunt cards and seek out special objects "hidden" around the museum.

Admission fees apply, special family rates are available. Also on Saturday, Pinter's Gardens and Pumpkins will sell kettle corn in connection with the Holiday Open House-Decorah All Decked Out.

These events are in connection with the exhibition, "The World of Jan Brett," on view now through Jan. 5, 2014. This fun and engaging traveling exhibition brings to life the stories of the beloved children's author/illustrator.

Original artwork, interactive adventure areas and themed reading environments invite visitors to travel the globe and become a part of their favorite books. The exhibition welcomes all ages into the vivid cultures and endless imagination of these timeless children's tales.

"The World of Jan Brett" encourages playful exploration in hands-on discovery areas and immersive environments. The exhibition features more than 50 original paintings from ten of Jan Brett's bestselling books.

Sketchbooks, hands-on discovery zones and themed reading environments take visitors on a journey around the world to learn about the places and cultures from which Brett gets her inspiration. There is even a super-size Hedgie, a hedgehog that is featured in the pages of many of Jan Brett's best-loved stories.

"The World of Jan Brett" is on a nationwide tour and its display at Vesterheim is made possible through funds raised by the 2012 Deck The Tables committee and event.

This traveling exhibition is organized by the Oshkosh Public Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in partnership with Jan Brett.

Jan Brett has more than 35 million books in print and has been one of America's most beloved children's author/ illustrators for over 30 years.
