The Decorah area has a new orchestra.
The Oneota Valley Community Orchestra was created to present live classical music to the residents of the Oneota Valley, promote music education and provide the opportunity for amateur and professional musicians to continue a lifelong study and performance of classical music.
This is a volunteer ensemble for anyone who wants an opportunity to present music in an orchestral setting. The only requirements for joining are to be at least age 14, have the ability to read music and a strong desire to create.
Rehearsals would be once per week in Decorah.
Visit ovcorchestra.org for more information about how to join.
