Luther College invites the community to an opportunity to explore connections between justice, faith song and community with the 2013 Sihler Lecture: "Singing Justice Together."

The lecture begins at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 21, in Studio II of the Center for the Arts on the Luther campus.

The lecture is open to the public with no charge of admission.

The lecture will be presented by Mary Preus and Tom Witt. Preus is currently music director at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minn. She focuses on music research of diverse singing styles, and on the worship and singing life of justice-centered communities of faith.

Witt is a keyboardist, worship leader, songleader and worship planner based in Minneapolis. Together with Preus, he co-founded "Bread for the Journey." Witt is a member of the "Living Liturgy" teaching team, along with Preus, Susan Briehl, Marty Haugen and Ben Stewart. "Living Liturgy" is a program that provides workshops and retreats for worship renewal.
